Name: Katt
Occupation: Retail sales associate

Katt’s style is a nod to the 1950s, but with a modern twist. She’s into animal print and bright colours, and Marilyn Monroe beach/swimwear pictures inspire her. Her jacket was a gift from her roommate, and she bought her shoes at the store she works at. Her bag (also from her roommate) is equipped with real speakers and functions as a boombox, as well as a place to keep her stuff. Her interests include painting, drawing and sculpting. Her favourite type of music is pop-punk, and Screeching Weasel is her favourite band.

Brigitte describes her look as “psychedelic pussycat meets bohemian chic.” She likes Gwen Stefani’s style, and her interests include jujitsu, deep meditative trance, visual arts, and riding her BMX. Her favourite band is Radiohead.

Face-T likes to wear colours that make her stand out, and she isn’t shy about expressing her personality through her fashion. She’s wearing KangaROOS footwear, and her jacket is from H&M. She says her accessories “bring more of an edge to the whole outfit.” Her many creative pursuits include music, tattoo designs, writing, makeup, and hairstyling. Her music of preference is R&B, hip-hop, and reggae. Some of her favourite performers are The-Dream, Cassidy, and Boys II Men.

Zoe is toting a parasol to beat the summer sunshine. She says she likes to wear skirts and knee-high socks. Her hat was a gift, and she got her medical bag “from this Russian guy during a snowstorm for 20 bucks.” She’s into drawing, writing, video games and comic books. A couple of her favourite bands are The Beatles and Queen.

Ivona credits her sister Karolina with putting together her outfit. She gets her style influences from fashion magazines, TV, store mannequins, and her sister. For fun, she likes to party and go to the gym. She likes listening to R&B and dance music, and one of her favourite singers is Lady Gaga.

Karolina says she gets most of her style influences from magazines. She enjoys shopping, and putting outfits together. Her favourite musical performers are Metric and Lady Gaga. She’s looking forward to a career in fashion.
